Job Summary

Job Description

As a Key Account Executive, you'll be the executive point of contact for enterprise clients at Google Cloud, focusing on the retail sector. You'll build and leverage relationships with CEOs and C-level executives, and develop new relationships with business unit leaders. This involves understanding clients' challenges, presenting Google's solutions, and driving shareholder value by showcasing the collaborative and mobile capabilities of Google's products. Responsibilities include leading business cycles, negotiating terms, managing legal and business risks, and developing account strategies to maximize business impact. You will work with cross-functional teams and Google Partners. You will manage global accounts, forecast accurately, and serve as the primary customer contact for adoption-related activities.
Must have:
  • 10+ years quota-carrying cloud/software experience
  • Enterprise account management experience
  • C-level relationship management
  • Retail industry experience
  • Negotiation and cross-functional collaboration skills
Good to have:
  • Experience with Cloud Solutions, Infrastructure Software, Databases, Investigative Tools, or Applications Software
  • Experience working with Customer Engineers and customer's technical leads

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with quota-carrying cloud or software business, or account management at a Business-to-Business (B2B) software company.
  • Experience in promoting enterprise accounts, promoting a portfolio of products or solutions at the C-level.
  • Experience with retail customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in promoting Cloud Solutions, Infrastructure Software, Databases, Investigative Tools, or Applications Software in the retail industry, aligning solutions to drive business outcomes.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams and partners in implementations and negotiations.
  • Experience with commercial and legal negotiations with Procurement, Legal, and Business teams.
  • Experience in supporting enterprise organizations, growing existing customer bases and acquiring new logos to increase spend and accelerate consumption growth.
  • Experience in working with Customer Engineers and customer's technical leads to inventory software estate, define migration plans, and build migration business cases.
  • Experience in managing C-level relationships and collaborating with executives.

In this role, you will serve as the executive promoted to the enterprises in Google Cloud. You will leverage existing relationships with Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and C-level executives, developing new relationships with business unit leaders to understand their unique company tests and to influence their perspective of Google solutions. You will do this with an industry understanding, communicating the business value of Google while driving shareholder value. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Build executive relationships with a customer base to collaborate with their technology and business decisions. Add value as a trusted advisor by bringing compelling insights and ideas with follow through execution.
  • Lead business cycles (e.g., presenting multi-year agreements to C-level executives), negotiating terms and managing associated legal and business risks.
  • Lead account strategy to develop business growth opportunities, working cross-functionally with multiple teams and Google Partners, to maximize business impact within enterprise customers.
  • Run and manage global accounts with multiple opportunities across different functions with forecast and budgetary accuracy, serving as the primary customer contact for all adoption-related activities.
