Welcome to Warner Bros. Discovery… the stuff dreams are made of.

Who We Are…

When we say, “the stuff dreams are made of,” we’re not just referring to the world of wizards, dragons and superheroes, or even to the wonders of Planet Earth. Behind WBD’s vast portfolio of iconic content and beloved brands, are the storytellers bringing our characters to life, the creators bringing them to your living rooms and the dreamers creating what’s next…

From brilliant creatives, to technology trailblazers, across the globe, WBD offers career defining opportunities, thoughtfully curated benefits, and the tools to explore and grow into your best selves. Here you are supported, here you are celebrated, here you can thrive.

Rocksteady Studios is an award-winning, critically acclaimed video game developer. Founded in 2004, we are home to the widely celebrated Batman: Arkham series of games. Our philosophy for game development is all about treating people well to create quality entertainment that stands the test of time. We’re a one-project studio that built our success by combining genre-defining gameplay and character-driven cinematic narrative with AAA production values. Born in the heart of London, our multicultural team takes inspiration from the culture and history of our home in one of the most diverse cities in the world.

Rocksteady Studios is seeking an accomplished Production Director to optimise
our development processes, team organisation, project communication, and
planning. In your role you will foster continuous improvement in production
disciplines across all titles and nurture your team to excel in their roles.

Reporting directly to the Studio Director, your role will involve managing,
supporting, and developing the Production team, including the Production
Managers responsible for line production within each project team. You will
collaborate with Heads of Discipline to coordinate resource allocation and serve
as a key point of escalation and resolution for studio-wide operational issues.

You should possess a comprehensive understanding of production
methodologies, with demonstrable experience in managing multiple large-scale
console and PC projects through their full life cycle, including the delivery of
post-launch content and services. Experience within large organisations handling
a portfolio of multiple active titles, along with management and operation in a
hybrid-remote context, would be advantageous as we navigate new challenges
in an evolving workplace environment.

A keen commitment to delivering the highest quality player experiences is
essential, as is experience working directly with major global IP and brand
stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Defining, establishing, and evolving best-practice production methodologies and tools across the studio.
  • Supporting Production Managers and their Production teams on projects to help them achieve high-quality outcomes balancing cost and schedule.
  • Collaborating with the Production team to support the studio’s slate and goals, with a future-looking perspective on staff development, training, and priorities.
  • Reporting to senior studio management and external stakeholders on project progress, issues, and risks.
  • Working with Heads of Discipline, the P&C and Finance teams to take primary responsibility for the studio’s resource planning.
  • Identifying and pursuing opportunities to support our aspirations for continuous improvements in studio culture: advocating for high-quality, collaborative, and healthy working practices.
  • Connecting and collaborating with the wider WB Games studios group to share knowledge.
  • Work closely with the Development Director to foster and implement innovative production techniques and processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies, including contingency planning and proactive problem-solving.
  • Ensure that production practices align with the company's values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.

Skills / Qualifications:
  • Relevant experience in a Production leadership role, in the games industry, on projects at scale.
  • Shipped multiple AAA console and PC games.
  • Forward thinking leader who can deliver operational excellence in complex, interconnected environments.
  • Expert knowledge of game development production methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience developing and mentoring a team of Producers and motivating a wider multi-disciplinary team.
  • A role model of personal organisation and communication both written and verbal, able to adapt their style successfully to a wide variety of contexts.
  • Experience with Unreal advantageous.
  • Proficiency in production management software such as JIRA, Trello, Shotgrid or similar tools.
  • Experience managing and operating in a hybrid-remote context, adapting to evolving workplace environments.
  • Proven experience working directly with large global IP and brand stakeholders, ensuring alignment and high-quality player experiences.
Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
