Team Introduction IaaS-US team focuses on the development and research of ByteDance Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) platform. The IaaS division focuses on building large-scale and highly available cloud & AI infrastructure, which supports both Bytedance public cloud products and its corporate products such as Douyin. Responsibilities • Design and implementation of core features in critical infrastructure systems, including but not limited to AI Infra, cloud compute and networking, etc. • Research on cutting-edge technologies and technology trends in cloud infrastructure areas, from both academia track and industry track. • Experiment and build PoCs to verify some new technologies or innovative ideas. • Improve performance, scalability and availability of our cloud & AI platforms, including compute stack and networking stack.

Minimum Qualifications - PhD degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience - Good understanding of cloud & AI infrastructure, including both compute and networking - Proficiency in Linux-based development and at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Golang, C++) - Good communication, self-motivation, good engineering practice and documentation Preferred Qualifications - Experience with designing and building large scale cloud infrastructure systems - Experience with at least one of the following areas: - Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) core components, such as networking virtualization, NFV, cloud gateway etc. - Network hardware offloading with DPU/IPU/FPGA/ASIC and P4 programmable network. - Network protocol optimization, such as congestion control. - Machine learning based intelligent networks. - Having publications on top tier networking conferences is strongly preferred.
